A site for a café and cultural venue — daily menu, programme and reservations in one bold coat.
Brno's Spolek has been both a café and a cultural venue since 2000. The site has to carry both — today's menu and the events programme — and sound as alive as the place itself.
The brief
“Spolek isn't just a café, it's a venue.” A guest wants to quickly check today's menu and book a table, but also soak up the atmosphere and programme. The site had to serve both without compromise and not look like a generic café template.
What I did
I built a bold, playful site around custom morphing typography and a live ticker. Daily menu, reservations and programme each have a clear path, and the identity holds the venue's tone — coffee, drinks, culture in a made-to-measure coat.
Outcome
- A guest checks today's menu and books a table in a few clicks
- The programme and the venue's atmosphere live online, not just in the window
- The site sounds like Spolek — it sets the venue apart from generic café templates
