I took the site over from the previous supplier, redesigned it and built it, domain included.

A Prague grounds-maintenance firm had a site built by a supplier who does not build sites. The mobile navigation was broken, the case-study section was empty and the photography was hotlinked from a stock library. I rebuilt it and moved the domain back to the owner.
The brief
The client could not change anything on their own site. The previous supplier held the domain and the hosting, so every edit depended on a third party. The site also advertised services the firm does not offer and left out the construction work that brings in a large share of the revenue.
What I did
Ownership first: I moved the domain to a different registrar and pointed it at new hosting, so the site depends on nobody. Then I rebuilt the structure around what the firm actually does and added the real price list. The design runs on the client's own photographs, not on stock.
Outcome
- The domain and the site sit with the client, so edits no longer depend on anyone
- What the site offers matches what the firm actually does, construction work included
- Prices are public, so enquiries come from people who have already seen them
