Custom website development

Website development that brings enquiries.

I build new websites from the structure and the copy through to launch and measurement. Not from a template, but around who you sell to and what a visitor should do on the site. From the first call to handover you deal with me, in English or Czech.

  • Structure, copy, design and build as one piece of work
  • One figure for design and build
  • A reply within three working days

Tell me what the new site should do

A few sentences about the company and what the site should bring in is enough. You do not need a brief or a budget. I will come back with a few questions about scope.

An old site, a Figma file or materials. Leave empty if there is nothing yet.

When do you need it (optional)

When a new website makes sense

A website that does not talk about the customer brings no enquiries, however it looks. A new site makes sense when the current one cannot say why you.

The company moved on and the site never caught up

Your offer, prices and customers are somewhere else than when the site was built. The site does not say so, and the enquiries go to a competitor.

You still need a website

A social profile or word of mouth has done the job so far. You want a site that is yours and speaks for the company when you cannot.

The template has hit its limit

A site builder was fine for a business card. Now you need bookings, a catalogue, connections to your systems or speed on a phone, and the template will not allow it.

Process

How the website development runs

Brief and structure

First I ask who you sell to, why they choose you and what a visitor should do on the site. The page structure comes out of the answers. The design comes after it.

Copy and design

I draft the copy from your material, you only correct it. I design on finished copy and your photos, so the site speaks about your company, not about a template.

Build and measurement

The site is fast on a phone, with technical SEO and enquiry tracking from day one. I pick the technology by who will look after the site.

Launch and care

The code, the domain and the data are yours. After launch I watch whether enquiries come in and fix what holds them back.

Scope

What custom website development includes

  • A page structure built around how your customers buy.
  • Copy that talks about the customer, not the company.
  • A design cut to your copy and photos, not a template with a swapped logo.
  • Build, speed on a phone, technical SEO and enquiry tracking.
  • Launch, handover of all access and care after the start.

Price

How much website development costs

One figure for design and build, after the brief. No hourly rates and no blind price list, because two sites that look the same differ in what sits under the surface: strategy, copy, tracking, connections to systems.

What drives the price and what to ask when you compare quotes is in the article How much does a website cost?

Have a site and not sure you need a new one? I go through it for free first. I recommend a new site only when repairing the current site makes no sense.

Questions about website development

How long does website development take?
It depends on the scope. A site of a few pages is usually a matter of weeks, a catalogue or a site connected to your systems a matter of months. You get the date with the brief and I keep it. Copy and photos delay projects most, so I prepare them with you instead of waiting for them.
What do you build on?
On what makes sense for your company and for the person who will look after the site. Custom sites I build on Next.js, e-shops typically on Shoptet. The operation decides, not my favourite technology.
Can I edit the site myself?
We agree it by what you will change. Content that changes often can be set up so you edit it without a developer. The code, the domain and the data stay yours, even if we part ways.
Do you work with English-speaking clients?
Yes. I work in English and Czech, with clients in Prague, across Czechia and remotely. Calls, the brief and the handover in English are no problem.
I have an old site. Do I need a new one?
Not always. I go through an existing site for free first and tell you straight whether a repair is enough. I recommend a new site only when repairing the current base makes no sense.

You do not need a brief or a budget. A few sentences about the company and what the site should bring in is enough.
